The City and the borough are proposing a new planning vision for the Pierrefonds-West area that balances the conservation of natural environments with neighbourhood development. About half of the area would be protected as natural spaces, while the rest would be planned for new neighbourhoods. This would also include the construction of a new urban boulevard between Gouin Boulevard West and Highway 40.
